Today was an easy stage and was under control by the two teams (Lotto, Gazprom ). We only told Jan to try to be in the breakaway and he was very motivated. All the other guys had to stay around Filippo and they had to talk to each other before the finish and decide who is going to do the final sprint.

Hamish Beadle

Today was a bit easier, with the GC being clearer and the bigger teams gaining control. The boys rode well, Filippo, Jan and I came together in the last 30km for the punchy finishing circuit. We did what we could and Filippo managed a top 20.

Date: 10 September 2021

Race: Tour of South Bohemia(2.2)

Start/Finish: Třeboň-Nová Bystřice

Distance: 143km

Weather: warm and sunny +25

Course: mostly flat, hilly circuit ,technical corners

Riders: 118

Class: UCI 2,2

Sergey Lagutin – Head Coach

Today’s strategy was to put some riders in the breakaway (Jan, Przemysław and Vaclav ) and bring Robbe to the best position for the final sprint and keep Filippo out of trouble for GC.

Filippo Ridolfo

Today we were very motivated after the big result of yesterday and we tried to enter in a lot of breakaways. The race was hilly and in the final lap we did the climbs which ended up being raced very fast. I managed to stay in the first group but the last km was complicated and I couldn’t take the last corner as well as I would have liked.

All the hard work we did in the last 4 month (motorpacing, rotating and paceline training) finally paid off.

We checked the profile the day before the race and also today we got to the start a few hours before the start. All the riders was very motivated for this TTT prologue, they were riding the corners several times (checking all the corners, cobbles, and all different positions).

We decided that Jan will start first and he will go all out until the first corner, then Vaclav rides all flat, slightly downhill parts and then Filippo all the way until the finish.

They all did a very good job today and everything went perfect.

We got second place which I hope will make them very motivated and confident for the next stages.

Jan Dunnewind

I felt a bit of pressure before the start because I was doing the first part of the really short TTT. It was really technical so I had to make sure everyone could follow but still go as hard as possible. After this the other guys finished it off on the second part of the course.
