Grand Prix du Morbihan – Boucles de l’Aulne (October 16 and 17)

Dorian Godon : « Win one more »

« I’m ready for this last competitive weekend of the year. I live in Girona and the conditions are really optimal for training, it’s not very hard to stay motivated when riding in these conditions. Even if the Coupe de France is agoal for me, I’m not fixated on the general classification. I’m not looking too far ahead. Above all, I want to win at least one more race (after victories at Paris-Camembert, in a stage of the Tour du Limousin and the Tour du Doubs); if I can manage that, then the rest will follow. We have a great team at the start of these two days of competition, so we’ll have to expect some lively races and maybe difficult weather conditions, but I’m ready.»Dorian

ll Lombardia (October 9) – Equipe cycliste AG2R CITROËN TEAM

Benoît Cosnefroy : « Make the race »

« I am very happy that the AG2R CITROËN TEAM is giving me the opportunity to race Il Lombardia. After Liège-Bastogne-Liège (4 participations), I will have a chance to compete in a second monument. Even if the course is more difficult than what I usually face, the goal is to make the race. The difficulty will be high, but the long climbs of the course are very suitable for teammates like Aurélien Paret-Peintre, Geoffrey Bouchard, Clément Champoussin and even Clément Berthet. For my part, I am aware that compared to the best climbers in the peloton it will be difficult for me, but I want to do well. »Benoît

Tour de Vendée (October 9)

Lilian Calmejane : « Ready to get back to racing »

« The rain made the two races (La Route Adélie de Vitré and the Classic Loire-Atlantique) last weekend difficult. I had to take a little time to recover but I’m ready to get back to racing again. Since the Vuelta a Espana, I have returned to my best level. Having had those injuries at the start of the year means that I still have some freshness at the end of the season. I was missing a bit of kick to go for the victory at the Classic Loire-Atlantique (5th) but I’m not far from it. There are three more opportunities to raise my arms and I’m motivated to make the most of them. At this time of year, the difference is more between motivated guys and tired guys. This makes the races more aggressive and conducive to attacks. That’s what I love to do, so I will be among the active ones as soon as the opportunity arises. »Lilian

The news

Benoît Cosnefroy 4th in Italy, Stan Dewulf 5th in Belgium

Benoît Cosnefroy and Aurélien Paret-Peintre finished 4th and 10th respectively in the 100th edition of Tre Valli Varesine.
“Physically, I had a great day despite the bad weather. The whole team did an amazing job getting me to the front for the finish. Aurélien was in front too, and it could have ended even better. In the sprint, I “got stuck” on the 13-tooth cog. I had the podium in my legs. That’s my only regret of the day,” Benoît Cosnefroy said.
Stan Dewulf finished 5th in Binche – Chimay – Binche.
“I didn’t have very good legs at the start of the race. Paris-Roubaix has left its mark. But after a while, my legs loosened up, and I was able to race. I’m happy with this 5th place,” Stan Dewulf explained.

Binche-Chimay-Binche – Paris-Bourges (October 5 and 7)

Stan Dewulf : « A great race »

«We all had a very difficult race at Paris-Roubaix. I was not spared any bad luck, but that is part of the game in this kind of race. Despite everything, you do not stand on the start line of such a Monument to give up. You feel you have to make it to the finish. After a day of rest, now we have to set off again for Binche-Chimay-Binche. It’s a great race. Two years ago I was in the breakaway. I’m still in good shape at the end of the season and I hope that I will be able to have a repeat performance. »Stan
